App development in Canberra
We design and build apps for the web, iPhone and Android, for Canberra businesses and founders. Start with a clickable prototype you can put in front of real customers, then build in small, tested steps you approve.
Clickable prototypes from $2,000, and a first version of your app from $10,000, plus GST.

You know what the app should do. Getting it built is the hard part.
- You have an idea and want to know people will use it before you spend on a full build.
- Customers keep asking for an app, a portal or a way to book online.
- A previous developer went quiet, and the budget and the timeline went with them.
- You’ve had quotes, but no one explained what you’d actually get, or when.

Discovery
We get to know your users, the problem you’re solving and what success looks like, so everyone is clear on what to build before anything is built.
Alpha
We try out ideas with clickable prototypes and real users, test different ways to meet their needs, and keep what works.
Beta
We build the real app in small, tested releases you can follow on your live project board, and put it in front of real users to iron out the issues.
Live
We launch it on the web or in the app stores, then keep measuring and improving it, month to month, with no lock-in.
How much does an app cost?
A clickable prototype starts from $2,000 plus GST, and a first version of an app from $10,000 plus GST. The final price depends on what the app needs to do, so we quote it as a fixed price once the scope is clear. You’ll know the price before any build work starts.
Get a fixed quoteDo you build for iPhone and Android?
We can. First, though, we’ll work with you to check whether you really need an app in the stores, or whether a web app that works in any browser, on computers and phones, would do the job. Skipping the app stores can save a lot of money when they aren’t needed. If you do need both, we build one app that publishes to the App Store and Google Play, so you’re not paying to build it twice.
How long does it take?
As a guide, a polished clickable prototype takes from two to four weeks, and a first version of a full app two to three months. The biggest factors are how clear you are on your users’ needs and how quickly decisions get made. Your quote includes a timeline broken into milestones you can watch on your project board.
Who owns the app and the code?
You do. The code, designs, accounts and documentation are yours, with no lock-in.
Can you look at an app someone else built?
Yes. An audit, from $1,000 plus GST, reviews the code, security, hosting and how far along it is, and gives you a plain-English report: what’s working, what’s risky, and what it would take to get it where you need it.
Ask for an auditWhat if I’m not sure exactly what I need?
That’s normal. Discovery and a prototype exist for exactly this: we work out what your users need first, so you only pay to build what matters. A free 30-minute consultation is a good place to start.
